Introduction
The 9th NAMIS workshop will be organized in Paris from Monday June the 27th to Wednesday June the 29th, 2011 by ESIEE-Université Paris est and IEF/University of Paris South. This workshop is financially supported by Chambre de Commerce de Paris, ESIEE, IEF, CNRS, CIRMM/IIS-University of Tokyo and French-Japanese Fundation "Sasakawa.
NAMIS is an international research network on NAno and MIcro Systems which was founded in November 2005 by 6 European and Asian research organizations: CNRS (France), IIS-University of Tokyo (Japan), EPFL (Switzerland), IMTEK (Germany), SNU (Korea) and VTT (Finland).
In the 2006-2010 period, Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal (EPM) and the Quebec province networks ResmiQ & RQMP (Canada), Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM, Korea), Université Paris Est (France), Tohoku University (Japan), National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan ) and University of Washington (USA) were joined NAMIS as new associate partners.
NAMIS international network is being renewed and extended, and all organisations listed above will be core partners of this new NAMIS network. NAMIS will then gather 12 organizations from 9 countries representing more than 60 high rank institutes or laboratories .
NAMIS is pleased to announce its 9th workshop which will be held June 27th – 29th, 2011 in Paris (France).
Planned now once a year in a different country, NAMIS workshops are good opportunities to visit hosting NAMIS partner facilities and to present the status of research conducted by NAMIS partners in the field of Micro and Nano Systems.
Their objective is to promote scientific exchanges and mobility of students, post-docs and researchers, to build joint research projects and to organize a sharing of resources.
The previous NAMIS workshop was held successfully in Hshinchu ( Taiwan ) and was focused on “Micro/nano systems for intelligent life, environment control, security and health”.
This 9th workshop will be focused on " Multiphysics sensors and Nanodevices".
As before, workgroups sessions on all research topics covered by NAMIS will be organized.
