Historical background

NAMIS is an international research network on Nano and Micro Systems initiated by the french National Center of Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Institute of Industrial Sciences (IIS) of the University of Tokyo. NAMIS was officially founded November the 2th, 2005 by 6 European and Asian organizations: CNRS (France), IIS/University of Tokyo (Japan), EPFL (Switzerland), IMTEK (Germany), SNU (Korea) and VTT (Finland).
